About the Exam

The High School Exit Exam, which is becoming prevalent in the United States, is a standardized test that a student must pass to graduate from high school. This implementation has not been without problems, however. In states like California and Arizona, failure rates were so high that plans to withhold diplomas from students in 2004 to 2006 were abandoned.

ExitExamHelp.com is here to help students pass the Exit Exam. Our dedicated staff has developed a comprehensive course that extensively covers core material found on the Exam, all of which is available online and free of charge.

Currently, 20 states (Alabama, Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia) require students to pass an Exit Exam to graduate.

Of these, thirteen states (Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia) offer a different diploma or certificate to students unable to pass the Exam.

Another seven states (Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, and Virginia) allow students to substitute an SAT score or other test for a passing grade on the Exit Exam.

Finally, nine other states (Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Mexico, Ohio, and Utah) allow students to appeal for graduation, despite a failing grade.
